Five Upcoming Movies In 2023
With the start of the new year comes a fresh roster of films to be released in 2023. Some that were announced in the years prior, and some had trailers that just hit theaters. Action, horror, adventure, and sci-fi, you name it, some movies are coming out this year to hopefully expand their respective genres and bring some excitement to audiences.
Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania, set to be released on February 17th, is the newest installment in the Ant-Man trilogy. The movie follows Ant-Man and the Wasp as they find themselves exploring the quantum realm. Along the way they interact with new creatures, embarking on an adventure that leads them through what was thought to be the impossible. This film is also supposed to introduce the next big bad guy, after Thanos, of the Marvel Universe.
Oppenheimer
This movie is a historical drama following physicist J Robert Oppenheimer, who works with a team of scientists during the Manhattan Project. Ultimately, this leads to the development of the atomic bomb. Oppenheimer is set to be released on July 21st, 2023.
Renfield
Renfield is a comedy horror film about the tormented assistant of Dracula, Renfield. Renfield is forced to find his master’s victims and follow his every command. So, after centuries of command he readies himself to see if there is life for him outside of servitude to the prince of darkness. Starring Nicholas Cage as Dracula himself, Renfield is set to be released on April 14th.
Fear
Fear is an upcoming horror film about a group of friends who go on a much-needed weekend vacation. The group travel to a historic hotel only to have to confront their worst fears one by one. Fear’s release date is January 27thv and is one of the most anticipated films to come out this year.
Barbie
The iconic Barbie hits the big screen again with this adventure comedy film following Barbie as she is expelled from the perfect “Barbieland” and sets off to find new adventure in the real world. Barbie is set to hit theatres on July 21st.
