Trending Gifts of 2022
Every year, when the holidays roll around, stores are wiped out by eager shoppers buying gifts for their loved ones. Like any other year, there were, of course, many “must have” items at the top of everyone’s wish list. This year, they were mostly specific clothing, accessories, and skin care products. So, if you have some Christmas money burning in your pockets, or did not receive everything you had hoped for and want to do some shopping, here are the hottest products of the 2022 holidays:
1. Glossier Balm Dotcom Lip Balm-
Glossier is a loved skin care brand, and their lip balms are no exception to this high praise. Formulated with heavy duty moisturizers, including Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin, and a dense, waxy texture, the balm seals in moisture- perfect for those dry winter lips. If you’re in need of a new lip hydrator, Balm Dotcom is a great investment to consider.
2. Brazilian Bum Bum Body Cream-
We all love a good moisturizer, and after its trending on TikTok, just about anyone has heard of the renowned Bum Bum cream. A fast-absorbing body cream with a visibly tightening, smoothing formula, it adds a hint of shimmer to skin, and smells amazing- including scents of vanilla, pistachio, and salted Carmel. There are three other scents to chose from as well in both the cream and mist.
3.Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume-
From the same brand as the Bum Bum cream, there was also a high demand for the perfume this holiday season. With the same, addicting smell, mist is for both the hair and body. This best seller is also cruelty free, and comes with a screw-on top to reduce plastic waste.
4. Drunk Elephant O-Bloos Rosi Drops-
The Drunk Elephant drops were a hit this Christmas, making great stocking stuffers. The light-weight liquid gives the skin a flattering flush, and is good for all skin types- dry, oily, or mixed. The peachy-pink drops add a subtle rosy color and are formulated with omega fatty acids to keep skin soft and soothed with a youthful glow.
5. Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Serum Drops-
The demand for the bronzing drops was no different than the demand for the blush. Cruelty free, vegan, and sustainably packaged like its sister product, the Drunk Elephant bronzing drops are an easy way to get a bronzy glow without long-term consequences. The drops are great for the skin, made with Cocoa Extract, providing powerful antioxidant and soothing benefits, Platinum Peptides, to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and Chronocyclin, which mimics the antioxidant benefits of vitamin D for youthful skin. In a consumer-perception study with 32 people after 28 days, 90% of people agreed their skin felt smooth and 87% agreed their skin felt soothed and hydrated. The health benefits and beauty of this product is so worth the buy!
6.Rare Beauty Blush-
Another great make up product, Rare Beauty’s blush is a liquid formula with a radiant matte finish. With medium coverage, it is long-wearing, weightless, and adds a beautiful rosy glow to the cheeks.
7. Kendra Scott- Elisa Gold Pendant Necklace in Azalea Illusion-
As Kendra Scott’s best seller, this necklace is one of the most iconic variations of their signature shape. It can be dressed up, dressed down, layered, and worn just about every way. It also makes a great gift, coming in many birthstone options as well as pretty jewels.
8. Mario Badescu Facial Spray-
A hydrating facial spray is another winter must-have. Sulfate and oil free, this spray is cooling and refreshing, adding a dewy look to your skin. Radiant and energizing, the spray is great for any skin-type and smells amazing- coming in a large variety of affordable scents.
9. UGG Shoes-
If you are looking for these, you are in for a wait- because the UGG ultra mini boot and Tasman slippers were arguably the most sought-after products this holiday season. These two shoes were completely sold out in most sizes, whether in store or online, and will be out of stock for quite some time. Along with their stylish look that can be worn with just about anything, they have easy on-off and enhanced versatility, the signature UGG sheepskin, and a flexible, lightweight sole. They pair with virtually anything, and the options are endless- other than the option of buying them right now, as they are currently unavailable.
10. Lululemon Wunder Puff Cropped Vest-
Vests are currently very popular and are a huge fashion trend- and Lululemon has been a beloved brand for years now- so when they came out with their cropped puffer vests, people were ecstatic. Available in a wide variety of colors, the vests are “made to move”, water repellent, mid-warmth, and made with a SoftMatte fabric. They also feature a removable hood, cinchable hem, zippered hand pockets, interior pockets, and a hidden phone
sleeve. This vest goes above and beyond the average vest- but it’s high quality also comes with a high price.
11. Stanley Cups-
One thing that always seems to be trending is the latest cup. First the Yeti, then the Hydro Flask, now the Stanley cup is in the spotlight. With double-wall insulation, this cup will keep your beverage cool all day long. A reusable straw and comfortably gripped handle and other great features the Stanley has to offer.
12. Aerie High Waisted Crossover Flare Leggings-
As one of Aerie’s most well-known products, the flare leggings are big year-round- not just during the holidays. Light-weight, fast drying, and super comfortable, these leggings can be casual or dressed up. The crossover fit also allows these leggings to fit almost everyone just right!
13. Tarte Juicy Lip-
The Tarte Juicy Lip is an all-in-one gloss, balm, color, and treatment. Plumping, smoothening, and moisturizing the lip the stick nourishes and comes in many different colors and scents that smell and look great!
Happy shopping, and don’t forget to be on the look-out for the upcoming trends of 2023- that way, as the next holiday season approaches, you are able to formulate the ultimate wish list, as well as buy the perfect gifts for your friends, family, and everyone else!
