Most people think of Christmas movies as a joyful holiday film filled with laughter, magic, hope, and love. When it comes to the new film, Violent Night, it is filled with action, mystery, and adventures. This surprised many people because it is the exact opposite of every other holiday movie. The main actor in the film is David Harbour, an actor from Stranger Things, playing Santa Claus. 

The film begins when a large group of mercenaries break into a wealthy home, holding the family hostage on Christmas Eve in Greenwich, Connecticut. The mercenaries with Christmas code names demanded $300 million from the mansion’s vault. Soon after, they discovered Santa and scared his reindeer away leaving him with nothing. Santa then decided to save the family, causing them all to confess their belief in him after he protects their lives. Violent Night came out on December 2nd and is rated 7.1 stars out of ten. Everyone is enjoying this film because of its differences from the average Christmas movie, it is out in all theaters now!
