Owasso – Ride the Polar Express

-The ride on the Polar Express in Owasso Michigan is a 1 hour 15-minute-long train ride to and from Ashley Michigan. Each ticket costs $65. Children 19 months and older need a ticket and children 18 months or younger do not. The things that are included with the ride are assigned seating on a vintage 1950’s coach car, car host service, entertainment, souvenir ticket and bell, cup of hot cocoa, and admission to the Village of Ashley’s Country Christmas.

Detroit – Ice Skating at Campus Martius

-Ice skating in Campus Martius is a family-friendly outdoor skating rink. It is open seven days a week from November to March, including holidays. Pricing Adults are $12, and children are $9. If you do not want to spend all your time ice skating, there are restaurants and small businesses around for you to eat and shop as well as support those small businesses.

Royal Oak – Let it Glow at the Detroit Zoo

-Includes wild lights, wildlife photographer of the year art exhibition, polar patio, 4D polar express theatre experience and a hot cocoa souvenir cup. Tickets range from $65 – $17 depending on the package you buy. Children younger than 2 years old are admitted free. Member discounts do not apply to the event. Wild Lights is usually hosted in the rain, snow, or shine.

Dearborn – Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village

-A ride on a historic Model T, carriage ride, or a horse-drawn wagon on their 80 acres of land. You can experience the fireworks they display while strolling down Main Street, buying goods, eating food, and drinking hot cocoa.

Frankenmuth – Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland

-You can experience the largest Christmas store in the world here. It is the size of 1 ½ football fields. It has around 50,000 trims and gifts. When buying ornaments, they will personalize ornaments at no charge. They offer snacks and refreshments are the store. They are open 361 days of the year and 365 days online on their website bronners.com. Something of theirs that is also open all year is their Bronner’s Silent Night Chapel.

Detroit – Monroe Street (Winter Carnival)
