Update from Zachary Veal: "Tracking a Gradual Warm-Up Ahead of Turkey Day!"

THIS EVENING: A transition from sunny to partly cloudy skies around Metro Detroit on this Monday evening along with both temperatures dropping from the low 40s before sunset into the upper 30s afterwards and winds WSW at 10-15 mph, gusting 20-25 mph, at times too as you commute back home from work or maybe as both you and your family run out to complete any errands that you may have. So, a jacket, sweatshirt, or a hoodie might be a good idea to both put on and wear as you do those things.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies early becoming partly cloudy skies later on at night and very cold too around Metro Detroit along with both overnight low temperatures dropping down into the upper 20s and winds light/variable.

TOMORROW: A partly cloudy and cold start to your Tuesday around Metro Detroit as we both get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids, to morning low temperatures starting out in the upper 20s in our Metro Zone, or in our Urban Heat Island, but likely in the low-to-middle 20s outside of our Urban Heat Island in our typically cooler rural areas, as WDIV’s meteorologist Paul Gross likes to say! But the afternoon hours will be under mostly sunny skies along with both daytime high temperatures only in the low 40s and light winds SW at only 5-10 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies once again around Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures flirting with the middle 40s.

THURSDAY/THANKSGIVING DAY 2022: Happy Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Metro Detroit! If both you and your family are heading downtown to either the S3 Turkey Trot or the America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade presented by Gardner White, or maybe even both, then you will want to layer up as morning temperatures will start in the low 30s all across both Metro Detroit and Southeastern Michigan. But the afternoon hours will be under mostly cloudy skies along with both daytime high temperatures rising into the middle-to-upper 40s and light winds SSW at only 5-10 mph. But some wet weather in the form of scattered showers does look to move into Metro Detroit late Thursday night and will likely continue into the day of Black Friday, so please stay tuned!

BLACK FRIDAY 2022: Mainly mostly cloudy skies with perhaps some scattered showers too around Metro Detroit on our “Finally Friday” along with daytime high temperatures flirting with the middle 40s. So, both umbrellas and rain ponchos will most likely be needed to stay both nice and dry as both you and your family go Black Friday shopping for the best deals this holiday season!

THIS WEEKEND: Partly cloudy skies on your Saturday around Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures falling into the low 40s. But on your Sunday as both you and your family commute both to and from both morning church services and brunch, we will be under mainly partly cloudy skies with perhaps some light rain showers, in spots, too around Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures remaining in the low 40s. So, both umbrellas and rain ponchos will most likely be needed to stay both nice and dry as both you and your family both come and go from both morning church services and brunch.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday night, Metro Detroit, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving 2022 too!!
