New York Fashion Week Fall 2022
New York fashion week, one of the biggest events in the fashion world kicked off on September 9th, 2022. From the 9th to the 14th models from around the world gathered in New York city to help show the collections from many different designer brands. Some shows were virtual while others were in person.
Most of the collections were focused on spring and summer 2023. Many of the collections were vibrant with satins and sequins while others were more neutral, earthy inspired. The variations of collections are what makes fashion week so unique.
Here are some of the shows this week that caught my eye.
Bronx and Banco’s collection for spring and summer 2023 had a ton of glitter, velvet and bright colors. From dresses to pant suits, the whole collection was chic and fun with added feathers and lots of shiny boots
Returning to NYFW after three years, Tommy Hilfiger presented a collection with their classic “schoolgirl” style with contrasting bright colors from royal blue to electric yellow.
Fendi celebrated twenty-five years of “The Baguette bag” by collaborating with Tiffany & Co, Marc Jacobs, Sarah Jessica Parker and Porter. The show was a tribute to the iconic bag and each collaborative member added something different to the show. Tiffany blue, silver, nylon and fuzzy hats were all brought into the show by the collaborators combined.
Alice + Olivia’s looks for spring 2023 consisted of a wonderland type theme with colorful satin, blazers and tulle.
Neon Cowboys did a virtual show inspired by the American pioneer with added light technology, being the first brand to add light technology into their designs to elevate the collection.
