Michigan’s Capital City
On Monday, October 16th, the Dakota Newspaper had the opportunity to go to Lansing for a Writing Conference. The Writing Conference mainly had sessions on photography and sessions for new writers. During this field trip, everyone had the chance to walk around Lansing. It is very beautiful and there is a lot to do there. The buildings are so pretty, the food is really good, and the scenery around is lovely.
Lansing has many of tourist buildings such as the capital building and a historical museum. However, we were not allowed to go inside any of the buildings. They were really fascinating to look at. While taking pictures of everything going on we were able to apply some of the tips that we learned in a photography class. Following are some of the pictures taken by Mary Gerardi, Katelyn Hill, and myself, Megan Brombach.
