Quentin Tarantino’s 4th film Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 have been critically acclaimed as a story of bloodshed and revenge. Although they are two separate films Tranatino counts them as one due to the continuating story throughout the two films.

According to Ninja Selection Kill Bill: Vol.1 is a story of bloodshed and revenge. Having left the murderous group called The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, wishing a better life for herself, the main character called the Bride goes to Texas, meets the man of her dreams, and decides to marry him, being pregnant with his baby. However, the wedding rehearsal gets ruined by the Deadly Vipers who crash it and kill everybody, leaving the Bride for dead. After four years she wakes up from a coma and, realizing that the Squad had robbed her of the perfect life, goes on a killing spree, leaving the infamous Bill for last.

Kill Bill: Vol.2 follows the Bride, whose real name is Beatrix Kiddo, on her vengeful quest of eliminating the last three people who wrecked her wedding four years prior. On this journey, we find out about the Bride’s past and the path she had to undertake to become who she is today. The information about her daughter being alive also appears along the way, and we are left to see how it will affect Beatrix’s pursuit of justice.

Uma Thurman plays a deadly widow with violent vengeful tendencies and is one of Tarantino’s best-directed films.

In the first film, we see Thurman’s character get revenge on her first victim Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox). The two brawl before stopping as Vernitas’s daughter Nikkia gets home. They then make their way to the kitchen where Vernita then tries to shoot Beatrix as she dodges the bullet and Beatrix stabs her in the chest with a knife. As a 4-year-old Nikkia stands in the kitchen doorway witnessing her mother’s murder Beatrix says “It was not my intention to do this in front of you, and for that I’m sorry. But you can take my word for it. Your mother had it coming. When you grow up and you still feel raw about it, I’ll be waiting.”

Tarantino has said that the layout for a 3rd installment would follow a vengeful Nikkia in search of the bride out for blood and revenge for the murder of her mother. In an interview with NME magazine last year, Fox said she’d cast Zendaya in the role of Vernita’s vengeful daughter. Although Tarantino has plans for this film titling it Kill Bill Vol. 3: Kill The Bride, there is still nothing currently in the works.
