Minecraft Live 2021
On Saturday, October 16th, the annual Minecraft Live will be held. Fans will be able to watch a virtual show and cast their vote for a new addition to the game.
Minecraft Live is a virtual event fans can attend to learn about news of the game, content creators, and an audience mob vote for what new addition will be made to the game.
Minecraft was first released in 2009. It’s a video game where everything is made out of blocks, and players can use their imagination on creative mode to build anything and everything, or try to survive monsters and build a home in survival mode.
Minecraft has always been popular- especially within Gen Z. But with the pandemic and nothing to do in quarantine, Minecraft is more popular than ever. The producers of the game have been working hard on the second part of the Caves and Cliffs update- which will add extreme hills and ginormous caves, as well as various new features.
Last year the mob vote consisted of the Moobloom: an adorable, bee-loving cow, the Iceologer: a hostile mob that
will make climbing mountains ten times more difficult and annoying, and the Glow Squid: a useless, glowing aquatic creature that is good for nothing except making signs glow. The Glow Squid sadly won due to the unfair influence of popular Minecraft content creators, but I won’t get into that.
This year the vote includes the Copper Golem: a golem made of copper that rusts and literally just pushes buttons, the Allay: a little flying friend that will collect items for you, and the Glare: a flying bush-looking thing that will lead you to where monsters will spawn, but is also afraid of the dark.
Whatever the verdict will be, tune into the event from any device with internet connection on Saturday October 16th at 12Pm Eastern Time on the official Minecraft YouTube channel, Facebook, or Twitch, and cast your vote on Minecraft’s official Twitter page!

I’m not gonna lie, ignorant of all things Minecraft, I understood pretty much nothing… but Glare has my vote.
