Lacrosse Senior Spotlight!

For many, sports are what make people feel most like themselves, and truly bring out their happiness. Dakota is home to a very talented lacrosse team, and all players have a passion for it. Since many restrictions are still at play for our sports, our seniors have been getting in contact with our underclassmen, and conditioning with them to help them get ready for the upcoming season. Our seniors are leaders and we expect nothing less from them, they show their colors of how strong they are and what they want to do to help our underclassmen succeed, just like they do. This upcoming season is going to be one our seniors will never forget; lacrosse is a sport that will send our Cougars off to college soon enough one day.

One senior that I personally know is Brandon Hoerauf, he has been playing lacrosse ever since he was a little mini midfielder in 4th grade. Since Dakota got a lacrosse team, he has been dedicated to the Cougars for 3 years that it has been up and running. He has really grown from the years that he has played, even as well for Dakota he is a midfielder. His biggest mentor is Coach Benavides, one of our own Dakota staff. Brandon thinks of him as his mentor because he is so driven and passionate about his sport, that he wants everyone that is around him to succeed in their sport and to do well in life. Brandon has offers to play his forever sport in college, the day that he signs will be an unforgettable day for him and his family.
