The Big Three
A couple of weeks ago in the NBA world, James Harden from the Housten Rockets was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. The Brooklyn Nets now have Keven Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. People are calling this trio of superstars “the big three”. The Nets initiated a four-team trade where they sent Caris Lavert and many first-round picks to the Rockets and the Pacers traded away one of their core players Victor Oladipo for Caris Lavert. The Nets also gave the Cavaliers their big man Jarret Allen. Many believe that this new Nets team will win the championship this year and continue to be successful for the next couple of years. The three have yet to play a game together, due to Kyrie being sidelined because of COVID-19 protocols since a video started surfacing on the internet of him at a party without a mask. This incident cost Irving at least 800k in forfeited money and has played in the past 7 games. Irving, Durant, and Harden will all have a chance to play together this Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. We know the talent is there for the Nets, it’s just a matter of if this team will have chemistry. It’s time to find out exactly how scary this team can be.

My prediction: they’ll be a powerhouse in the regular season but lack the necessary focus on defense and flail in the playoffs. Defense wins championships.
