Kim Possible and Shego Halloween Costume DIY

no sister’s were harmed in the making of this photo

What’s the sitch? Today I’m sharing how me and my sister made our Shego and Kim Possible Halloween costumes. They were super cute and only required some sewing skills! Perfect for any safe Halloween activity.

    KIM

Making Kim was pretty easy. I first gathered my supplies– a red wig, green pants, a black turtleneck, gloves,a brown belt, an old flip phone (optional), and brown boots. You can find almost all of these items at thrift stores or around your house, get creative!!

So to put it all together I began by cropping my turtle neck,if you are gonna be outside/ don’t want to do this step don’t worry you don’t have to. I also added a large brown belt from my Dad’s closet. Kim’s belt sits on one hip and sags down, so it serves no purpose. I personally couldn’t find any green cargo pants, so I went with a pair of loose fitting green linen pants.

If you want to add some more zest to your costume, add fake “gadgets” onto your belt. Things like Nerf guns, a flip phone, and maybe even a fake grappling hook. Also you can make the

Kimmunicator from a circular key chain/ child’s toy and add in an antenna made of pipe cleaner. Make it fun and your own!!.

SHEGO

Shego requires a bit more sewing than Kim but it’s still manageable. Shoutout to my sister’s friend Leah for making this!!

Step one:

Get a black and green morph suit. My sister found both at the Salvation army. Next you need to cut the black one to fit the pattern of Shego’s outfit, place them on top of each other so you know where the black one should line up.

Step Two:

Sew the black morph suit onto the green. We used a close stitch and ironed down any fabric that was sticking up. It also helped to roll the hem into itself giving a clean finish.

Step three:

Cut off the hands of both morph suits at the elbow, hem the bottom of the sleeve and glove and switch. You can sew them directly back, but it’s more helpful to allow them to be detachable.

Step four:

Add on thigh high black boots and a black wig and channel your inner villain >:)

I hope this helped give some insight on two, not super hard Halloween costumes!! These were super fun to make and wear!! Happy Halloween!!
