The SAT is optional this year?

On October 14th 2020, seniors at Dakota had the opportunity to take the SAT test. Taking the SAT has become optional for most 2021 students this year due to Covid-19 happening during the time they were supposed to take it in the spring of last school year. Most colleges are not requiring 2021 grad students to send in SAT scores for college applications. Here’s a list of colleges in Michigan that aren’t requiring SAT scores for class of 2021 students: Albion, Alma, Grand Valley, Michigan State, University of Michigan, and Wayne State University. Next week junior students/class of 2022 will be taking the PSAT test in preparation for taking the real SAT in the spring.
