After a tough loss against Stevenson, Dakota took the bus ride all the way down to Grosse Pointe to take on the undefeated Blue Devils. Both teams offenses didn’t start off very strong as they both didn’t score in the first quarter. But, a long run from DJ Stepney propelled the offense to pound it in with Caiden Sloan to make the score 7-0. An attempted double pass was executed horribly by Grosse Pointe and ended up just throwing the ball up right into DJ Stepney’s hands for an interception in scoring range. Dakota didn’t move the ball much and had to settle for a FG to make it 10-0 Dakota.

In the second half, Dakota got another field goal from Kollin Krallap 13-0 after a nice long throw from Zach Droski to Preston Leon. GPS wasn’t able to do much on offense all night except for one drive where they scored and made it 13-7 in the 3rd quarter. But the offense for Dakota responded once again and drove all the way down the field and punched it in the end zone with Caiden Sloan to ice the game in the 4th quarter. The final score was 21-7 and both teams end up at 2-1. The Cougars now look to take on Eisenhower which is going to be broadcasted on Fox Sports Detroit.
