Dakota Vs Chippewa Valley

Its Kickoff week here at Dakota and to open the year we played our rivals Chippewa Valley.   Leading up to this year there where so many controversies and questions if we were even going to get a season but after all we get to watch some virtual football.

The opening quarter for the cougars started off well after Dakota jumped out to a 13-0 lead after Chippewa Valley turned the ball over on its first two possessions Great plays from De’javion  Stepney who snagged a long third-down pass, giving Dakota the ball on the Big Red 35-yard line.  And Caiden Sloan shooting up the middle for a cougar touchdown.

Chippewa Valley started to tighten their screws in the rest of the half and started a comeback.  After a bad snap the Big Reds got read field position and punched in a touchdown of their own right before time expired.

Both teams were able to score in the third quarter with another touchdown by Caiden Sloan.  With the game tied and last 1:02 remaining Dakotas kicker Kollin Kralapps field goal put them on top.  Which would end up wining them the game with a final of 29:20.

Go Cougars!

Caiden Sloan was the workhorse for Macomb Dakota on Friday night. He scored three touchdowns on short bursts as the Cougars downed arch-rival Clinton Twp. Chippewa Valley, 29-20 in a Macomb Area Conference Red Division showdown.
