2019 Ohio State Buckeye vs. Michigan Wolverine Football Game Summary

On Saturday November 30th, 2019 The Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines met at The Big House in Ann Arbor Michigan for their annual rivalry football game. The game started with Michigan winning the coin toss and choosing to receive. After being in the game for only 3 minutes 17 seconds Michigan’s Giles Jackson runs a 22 yard touchdown. The game continues at 6-0 after Quinn Nordin missed the field goal for an extra point. Ohio state receives the ball for a touch back at the 25 yard line. On second down J.K. Dobbins fumbles and recovers the ball continuing for a 34 yard run. with 8:50 left in the first quarter Ohio State Scores (7-6) . Ohio States Justin Fields threw a completed pass to Chris Olave for a 57 yard touchdown With 1:27 left in the first (14-6). The first quarter ended with Michigan’s Donovan Peoples completing a pass for a touchdown (14-13) and Ohio State receiving the ball ending with Justin Fields running 6 yards at the Ohio State 31.

The second quarter started with Dobbins scoring a 6 yard touchdown the game now being 21-13 with Ohio State in the lead. Michigan takes offence and Shea Patterson fumbles the ball, recovered by Ohio State’s Robert Landers. J.K. Dobbins runs for a touchdown with 3:15 left in the second quarter (28-13). The First Half ended with Nordin completing a 23 yard field goal for Michigan making the score 28-16.

The second half started with Fields throwing a completed touchdown pass to K.J. Hill (35-16).  Then, Justin Fields threw a completed pass to Garett Wilson for a 30 yard touchdown (42-16). With 2:33 left in the third quarter, Quinn Nordin completes a field goal for the Wolverines (42-19).

The fourth quarter started with Michigan’s Hassan Haskins running two yards for a Wolverine touchdown, then ran for a two point conversion (42-27). Fields completed a pass to Austin Mack with 10:11 left in the 4th quarter for a completed touchdown (49-27). The final points of the game were scored by Ohio States J.K. Dobbins for a 33-yard touchdown and a completed extra point by Blake Haubell (56-27).

The game ended with the final score being 56-27 and Ohio State took the victory for 8th year in a row. Jim Harbaugh’s record updated to 0-5 and Ryan Day 1-0 in his first year of coaching Ohio State. Ohio State fans gathered after the game to do their traditional chant to Carmen Ohio, and the team left The Big House with yet another victory against Michigan.
