On Thursday October 17th, Dakota’s boys and girls cross country teams competed in the MAC Red Championship Meet. The runners did a great job with JV placing in 2nd place and Varsity placing in 4th in their meet. I had the chance to interview two boys on the JV team and two girls on the JV team. Alondra Rosales’ favorite part of being on the team is her teammates and the feeling she gets when she runs. Katie Strukel, who is now a senior on her third season, was excited and confident for the meet.  She said she was also sad about the season ending. David Collar, who is in his junior, has been running for 3-4 years. He also enjoys running with his teammates and is definitely doing it next year. “Vegas”, who is also a junior, said, “I’m super pumped and excited for the meet.” He also enjoys being on the team with his friends and will also be running next year. The team did and amazing job!
