The Royal Wedding

 

On November 27, 2017, Prince Harry, the second son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle, American actress, announced the fantastic news of their engagement to the world. The royal couple have been in a relationship since June 2016.


The relationship was officially acknowledged on 8, November 2016. Meghan and Harry had been in a relationship for 16 months before their engagement. Meghan Markle is the first American to marry into the British royal family since 1937, when the duke of Windsor, also know as King Edward the 8th married the American socialite Wallis Simpson.

 

 

The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was held on 19, May 2018 at 7:00am EDT at the St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom. On the morning of the wedding, Prince Harry grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the 2nd, conferred upon him the titles of Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel. Meghan Markle became Duchess of Sussex.

 

 

 

Venue: On 12 February 2018, Kensington Palace announced that the ceremony would commence at 12:00pm BST. The chapel had perviously been the venue for the weddings of Prince Harry’s uncle, Earl of Wessex, his cousin Peter Phillips, and his father Prince of Wales second marriage to Duchess of Cornwall.

Cost: The royal wedding announced that they would pay for the wedding. The costs for the marvelous cake, florist, and the catering was estimated to £50,000, £110,000, and £286,000 and overall-cost is £32million. Wedding attire: The wedding invitations specified a dress code for the special day. For men; Dress Uniform, Morning Coat, or Lounge Suit, for women; “Day dress and hat.”

Wedding Dress: The Wedding Dress was designed by the British designer Clare Waight Keller, under the fashion house Givenchy . It’s made “double-bonded silk candy cushioned by an underskirts triple silk organza.” Don’t forget it also had a beautiful boat necklace, long sleeves and sweeping train. The stunning veil was 16 feet(4.9m) long and was embroidered with 55 flowers, representing the California poppies , the winter sweet’ s , and the 53 countries of commonwealth. It was secured by a diamond bandeau tiara, made in 1932 for the Queen Mary. The tiara is made of eleven sections, a platinum band, and a detachable center brooch.

Shoe: Meghan Markle shows was also form Givenchy, and had a painted couture design. Meghan also had on lovely white gold and diamond earrings on and with a matching bracelet, made by Cartier. her nails were painted in a “neutral pinky-beige” for the ceremony. The bouquet was designed by Phillip Craddock. After the wedding the bouquet was placed on the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey, following royal tradition that began with the Queen’s mother.
