The Special Olympics

“Students with special needs deserve the same opportunities, respect, and attention that all students need.” – Ron Roberts

On Wednesday, May 2nd, Dakota High School hosted the Special Olympics!

On Wednesday, rightfully so, the Special Olympics were held at Dakota and were watched by many classes and students who were excited to cheer their peers on! Though it was a little cloudy, the participants all brightened up the day! After a hard day of competing, the kids who participated were treated with Kona Ice.

It was so inspiring to be a part of such an amazing event, and cheer on students who deserve equal support! Everyone in the crowd had a great time and enjoyed being able to support the Special Olympics.

Great job to all the students who participated in such an unforgettable event!
