Have you heard about the lawsuit against Michigan State University?  One female student claimed to be raped by three basketball players after they lost a game in the Final Four in 2015 and she is now suing. 

The female claimed that she went to the University’s counseling office, but nothing was done to make her feel better or to better her situation. The University told her that it would not be in her best interest to report the incident to the police and other authorities. The lawsuit set against the school is for mishandling the rape that happened on campus.   

The female that was raped went to the University counseling center in April of 2015.  Later that year, the female’s father called the school and was asking about her academic performance. Then eventually in February of 2016, the following year, the female went to a sexual assault program to talk about everything that had happened to her.  

The University is not permitted to report these types of incidents. When the University was questioned on the topic on April 9th, 2018 they decided not to comment. Shortly after, the University denied all allegations that have been made to them regarding this event. Still to this date, the female that was raped has not released any names  or information of the students that have raped her.
