College Lacrosse

Over the past couple months the college lacrosse has started again.  It began just the way it left off last year which was a bang.  Last  year Maryland beat Ohio State in the Championship. Ohio State  came in at a 3 seed and showed what they were really about by beating Towson  11-10.  It was a back and fourth game but Ohio State prevailed in the semifinals for Ohio  state to go to the championship. Next, Maryland came in at a 1 seed and they didn’t waste there time to  show what they are about. They  beat Denver  9-8 in a close game then went on to the Championship to beat Ohio State 9-6. That was how last year ended now lets talk about this year.

The very first game was on Thursday February 1st. It was Vermont vs. Furman. It was two unranked teams fighting to gain there wins to possibly be  ranked by the end of the season. For Vermont it happened they won 12-6. This wasn’t even  a major game. Then on Saturday February 3rd UNC  North Carolina) went up  against Lafayette. It was a very interesting game but UNC came out and one 17-10 on their first home game off the year.  The biggest Saturday of the year was February 10th with 22 games. Some of the biggest teams that played that day was Duke, Syracuse, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Maryland, and Ohio State.  It was a crazy day for College Lacrosse with upsets and great games.
