Black Panther Review

With all the hype surrounding this movie, it is hard to believe it would have a chance to live up
to its promise. But Marvel has outdone themselves this time with Black Panther. A sublime
spectacle of colors and scenery that fulfill everyone’s mental picture of the cradle of civilization.
From the moment it started, until the last scene, it was a roller coaster ride of wonder and
excitement. The film is made so well that you do not need to know anything about the Black
Panther character or comic book to watch and fully enjoy this movie.

The director of Black Panther, Ryan Coogler, has definitely raised the bar in the comic book
movie genre. With the recent recognition of movies like Logan, perhaps this film will help
people take notice that these are more than just “super hero movies”, they are much more than
that. Most of Marvel’s films deal with real life issues. And Black Panther is no different. If you
take a moment to look it up on social media, you will see that this movie is striking a chord
throughout the Black community as well as the entire population who has seen it.

Its box office numbers are absolutely ridiculous and it is blowing away competition. It has
surpassed Star Wars and even the first Avengers film. Put it this way, Black Panther made more
in ONE weekend than Justice League made the ENTIRE time it has been released. That’s a
movie with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. And Black Panther is destroying it. That is
amazing.

If you haven’t already, go see this movie. It has everything a movie should have. Suspense,
action, love, hate, drama, comedy, defeat and victory. Black Panther delivers on all of these
aspects and never really takes the foot off the gas until it is all said and done. Great movie. So
when’s the sequel coming out? We need more Wakanda!
