Update from Zachary Veal: “Another Freeze Warning tonight through tomorrow morning!!”

Update from Zachary Veal: Another Freeze Warning tonight through tomorrow morning!!

Another “Freeze Warning” will go into effect for Genesee, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties starting at 2:00am EST tonight and expiring at 8:00am EST tomorrow, Thursday April 27th, 2023 due to sub-freezing temperatures dipping as low as 30F expected. So, if both you and your family have any sensitive plants that you may have outdoors, now would be a great time to either cover them up or bring them indoors so they can stay both nice and warm and not die from the freeze.

THIS EVENING: Partly cloudy skies around Metro Detroit on this “Hump Day” evening, or Wednesday evening, along with both temperatures remaining in the low 50s and very light winds WNW ~ 5 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies along with some areas of patchy frost too around Metro Detroit along with both overnight low temperatures dipping down into the middle 30s in our Metro Zone, or in our Urban Heat Island, as former WDIV meteorologist Paul Gross liked to say, but likely dipping down into the low 30s outside of our Urban Heat Island in our typically cooler rural areas, and very light winds ESE ~ 5 mph.

TOMORROW: A transition from mostly clear to partly cloudy skies along with a frosty start too to your Thursday around Metro Detroit as we will both get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids, to morning low temperatures starting out in the middle 30s in our Metro Zone, and in the low 30s outside of our Metro Zone. So, layer up both kids and parents! But the afternoon hours should be under partly cloudy skies along with both daytime high temperatures rising into the upper 50s and light winds SE at only 5-12 mph.

FRIDAY: Mainly mostly cloudy skies with perhaps some scattered showers too, in spots, around Metro Detroit to wrap up both this work and this school week along with daytime high temperatures only in the middle-to-upper 50s.

THIS WEEKEND: The final weekend of April 2023 will likely be a soggy one as on your Saturday, we look to be under mainly mostly cloudy skies with even some more rain showers possible as daytime high temperatures will rise into the low 60s. But on your Sunday (which by the way, is the very last day of April 2023) as both you and your family commute both to and from both morning church services and brunch, we will be under mainly mostly cloudy skies with yet even more rain showers possible as daytime high temperatures will start to tumble down into the middle 50s (or double-nickels). So, please stay tuned as we are still not totally locked in on this weekend’s rain chances.

Enjoy the rest of your “Hump Day,” or Wednesday, Metro Detroit!!
