Tarte Dubai Trip 2023

Tarte+Dubai+Trip+2023

Last week, the makeup brand Tarte Cosmetics flew out over 29 influencers all bringing a plus one, including Alix Earle, a new creator who got popular doing her “get ready with me,” Meredith Duxbury, a makeup influencer with over 16 million followers, Monet McMichael, a lifestyle blogger having over two million followers, also involving others.

Having all the guests flying Emirates business class, starting at $13,254 a flight staying at Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, located in the Al Wadi desert near Dubai. Filling the day with eventful excursions, all the guests got to stay in their own personal villa with a private pool, and leaving tons of beauty products by Tarte and clothes that were worth over $1,000 awaited them. Tarte Cosmetics wanted to make this trip to support and uplift women who do not have the same opportunities as them.

Maureen Kelly, founder of Tarte in 1999, decided to travel over near Dubai seeing women living in that region use Tarte products the most. Their organization does not spend money on traditional marketing methods, they want to build a relationship with the influencers. With Tarte not paying influencers to post, creators would still post multiple times a day. For example, Alix Earle made up to $70,000 per brand-sponsored post, made up to 15 different posts from the trip. Tarte used to do brand trips years ago with creators, after this trip #TrippinWithTarte has over 140 million views and #TarteDubaiTrip with over 20 million views. In the end Tarte cosmetics and the influencers flown out got people’s attention, which is exactly what they wanted, people’s attention.
