Love+is+Blind+Season+3+Recap

*Spoilers*

Love is Blind is a reality tv show with three seasons. The premise of the show is to discover if love truly is blind, or if appearance and looks play a leading role The format starts with a group of equal parts male and female contestants. The boys and girls are separated within a holding place. The contestants talk to potential love matches through the walls in what the show calls a “pod”. From these pods you cannot see the person you’re communicating with, only talk to them. And once a match is found, the couple must be fully engaged before leaving the pod and getting to see each other for the first time in person.

The couples who get engaged are then sent off on a retreat. On this retreat, it is only the couples. Meaning no interference from the outside world. This is to see how the couples interact face-to-face with no wall separating them. Some couples move on from this section, and some break up when the tension of seeing second-choices and the people that others rejected in person.

After the retreat, the remaining couples are back to reality! They move in together and go about their daily lives. This is when pressures like work, family, and proximity are put onto the relationship. This lasts for four weeks, while all the couples plan weddings.

The weddings are the moment of truth- who will say “I do” and who will say “I don’t”? It’s a very intense moment, and that leads us into the end of the season, with a reunion episode filmed a year after the season updating viewers on where the couples are now.

Having aired October 19th, views should have had ample time to catch up on season three! So, it’s now time to dive into the only two couples who got married and see what their journey was like and where it led.

Couple Number One: Alexa Alfia & Brennon Lemieux:

This couple was the only one that didn’t seem to be constantly wrapped up in drama or having petty arguments. In the pods they had a very clear connection, being each other’s number one choice from the beginning. They got all the most important questions out of the way and were engaged after just one week. They were the first couple to become engaged. The couple both said “I do” on the wedding day and were still married happily as of the reunion.

Couple Number Two: Colleen Reed & Matt Bolton:

This couple had a few more battles to fight to make it to the alter. Colleen had connections with two others before finding Matt. Matt and Colleen then get engaged. While at the resort, they had a huge fight over a few comments Matt made, leading to full-on screaming. The next morning though the couple had apparently made up, having discussed off-camera. They made it to the altar and then all the way to the reunion and are still married as of then.

Out of the two married couples, Alexa and Brennon seem to have a stronger and more natural connection but anyone who kept up with season two of this show knows that things can change quickly an unexpectedly. Out of the two married couples from season two, neither of them are longer together. The couples seem happy now but only time will tell where these relationships will lead to.

An honorable couple mention is the couple Raven and SK who, however they said no at the wedding, are still dating long distance. The rest of the couples are broken up and making their own ways either alone or with partners not from the show.
