The Total War Series is my favorite R.T.S. game series of all time because it entrances me in the history of the world and the what could’ve been aspect of history! For example if you wanted England to control all of Europe in Medieval 2 you could do that and it would be awesome! So it saddens me deeply to say that Rome 2 at launch was by far the worst of the Total War games I’ve had the displeasure of playing because it does almost zero of the absolute fun aspects of the core game that was in earlier titles. Now the game itself came out in 2013. How is it now in 2017? Well after putting up to fifty-four hours into the game I’m happy to say that it has improved but not by that much. At release I would’ve given this game a 3/10 because it was insulting how much they streamlined the barely functional piece of garbage. Now with the “Emperor” Edition what has exactly changed at launch wall it’s not a buggy heaping pile of bile.They removed the flags in open field battles, (I hope they fired the moron who thought of the ridiculous idea). Partially fixed the AI but it’s still bad (Like the enemy cavalry for 60 minutes sped up by 4x ran around in circles), Oh not to mention the missing game sections and yes that is what I am going to call it that because it’s basic factions that was locked away by paywalls from before launch. I am  talking about the Greek States Culture pack which is by the way an extra 8$! So not only did they release the game’s “emperor” edition for $59.95; which is basically full price for a now four year old game but they had the nerve on forums to say that they still support the historical fan-base. Well in my opinion I think the developers for the franchise snorted cocaine off their boners when they realized how much money they can milk from the game and while releasing TWO WHOLE TOTAL WAR GAMES THAT AREN’T HISTORICALLY RELEVANT but wanted to appeal to the Game of Thrones and Lord of The Rings fan bases Which is fine but now I believe that Creative Assembly and Sega will never release another basic historical game like Napoleon or Rome or Shogun 2 or even Medieval 2! I need to know what happened. I need to know when the next game is going to be released that is not complete garbage like Rome 2 and is not going to spoon feed me D.L.C. after four years that has components in the game that should’ve been there at launch!. I’m sorry to my fellow readers that I didn’t upload another Conservative Chronicle because watching the announcement for Empire Divided enraged me. Creative Assembly is too late to fix basic elements of a game that should’ve simply been in the game at launch. Did I forget to mention that a 4 year old game such as Rome 2 has not only not decreased in price but added another D.L.C. for a whopping 17$!! Let me add up all of the costs for all of the Downloadable Content and main game for Rome 2.

Now I don’t recommend ever getting Rome 2 because of its insulting business practices. Or its horrible graphics that’ll honestly make you want to hurl. My final rating for the actual version of Rome 2 is a 5/10 because it’s a game where it’s streamlined to the point of no return.

Sega and Creative Assembly stop doing this to my favorite franchise it’s really disgusting and not fun to watch at all.

Get Medieval 2 or Rome 1 or even Napoleon for Civil War and line battle fans because it’s the closest thing were going to get for an American Civil War game.
