President George Bush Sr. #MeToo

Actress Heather Lind accused George Bush Sr. of groping her during a photo op in 2014.

In response to the allegations, former President apologizes if his attempt at humor offended Ms. Lind. Bush Sr.’s representatives claim that Bush would never intentionally cause anyone distress.

Lind says that the incident happened almost 4 years ago when she met Bush during a promotion of a historical television show that she was working on.

Lind wrote on Instagram, “He touched me from behind his wheelchair with his wife Barbara Bush by his side. He told me a dirty joke. And then, all the while being photographed he touched me again.”

Although former first lady has chosen not to comment on the issue, Lind says when she saw that it happened she rolled her eyes as if to say, “Not again.”

Lind also said that later, a security guard of Bush’s told her she should not have stood next to him.

Heather Lind says she decided to talk about the incident after seeing President Obama shake hands with him at an event a few weeks ago. The two former presidents, along with three other former presidents, attended a benefit concert to raise funds for hurricane victims in Texas.

Millions of people, since, have used the hashtag #MeToo to post their own experiences with sexual harassment and assault on various social media cites. Heather Lind also used the hashtag on her own post which has since been deleted.
