Update from Zachary Veal: Tracking Both Rain & Falling Temps! But When Actually? Details Below!

THIS MORNING: Partly cloudy skies and mild too this Thursday morning around Metro Detroit along with both morning temperatures rising from the low 60s early on into the middle-to-upper 60s later on and light, but warming, winds WSW at only 5-10 mph.

TODAY: A dry day Thursday under both mostly cloudy skies and mild conditions too around Metro Detroit along with both daytime high temperatures flirting with the middle 70s and light, but warming, winds WSW at only 5-12 mph. But thankfully, rain in the form of scattered showers should move into Metro Detroit starting after dinnertime, mainly after 9pm, so our evening drive home from work should be alright. Fingers crossed!

TOMORROW: A mostly cloudy and cool start to our “Finally Friday” around Metro Detroit as we will both get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids, one last time to end both this work and this school week to morning low temperatures only in the low 40s to flirting with the middle 40s in our Metro Zone, or in our Urban Heat Island, but likely in the low 40s outside of our Urban Heat Island in our typically cooler rural areas, as WDIV’s meteorologist Paul Gross likes to say. But the afternoon hours should be under partly cloudy skies along with both daytime high temperatures only in the low 50s and cold breezes NNW at 5-15 mph, gusting 15-20 mph, at times too! So, either a jacket or a sweatshirt most likely may be needed to stay both nice and warm if you may be heading down to any Friday night high school football games or whatever else that both you and your family may have planned outdoors.

THIS WEEKEND: Mostly sunny skies around Metro Detroit on both your Saturday and on your Sunday along with daytime high temperatures only in the upper 50s on your Saturday, but then, flirting with the middle 60s on your Sunday as both you and your family commute both to and from both morning church services and brunch.

NEXT WEEK PREVIEW: Some of our computer models are still showing chances for some scattered showers on next Wednesday around Metro Detroit while the rest of next week remains on the dry side for the most part. But obviously, we could definitely use some rain from Mother Nature for both our grass and our gardens as we are still currently in a moderate drought, so fingers crossed…

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday, Metro Detroit!!
