Update from Zachary Veal: Summer-Feel hanging around even though we are one week away from the start of Fall 2022!

THIS MORNING: Mostly sunny skies, cool, and comfortable too around Metro Detroit this Thursday morning along with both morning temperatures in the upper 60s and light winds E at only 5-10 mph as you both get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids.

TODAY: Mostly sunny skies and a touch cooler than yesterday around Metro Detroit along with both daytime high temperatures only in the middle 70s and light winds ENE/SE at only 5-10 mph which means that our extreme east-siders off of both Lakes Huron and St. Clair will be a touch cooler than for those inland.

TOMORROW: A mostly clear and cool start to your “Finally Friday” around Metro Detroit as we will wake up to morning low temperatures in the upper 50s in our Metro Zone or our Urban Heat Island, but likely in the middle 50s outside of our Urban Heat Island in our typically cooler rural areas as WDIV’s meteorologist Paul Gross likes to say. But thankfully, the afternoon hours should warm up a bit under partly cloudy skies along with both daytime high temperatures soaring into the low 80s and light, but warming, winds SW at only 5-10 mph.

THIS WEEKEND:  It’s a big weekend around Metro Detroit as we have the North American International Auto Show on Saturday at Huntington Place, lots of college football games around the state, and the Lions’ game vs. the Washington Commanders at Ford Field on Sunday. But we should be bone-dry on both your Saturday and on your Sunday as it looks to be under partly cloudy skies along with daytime high temperatures soaring into the upper 80s both weekend days thanks to warming SSW winds at 5-15 mph, while also gusting between 15-20 mph on your Saturday and then light, but warming, SW winds at only 5-10 mph on your Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: Heating up big-time around Metro Detroit as daytime high temperatures will soar well into the low 80s next Monday, but soaring well into the middle 80s to low 90s next Tuesday through next Thursday. But some of our computer models show a chance for some isolated storms on next Monday, but dry for the rest of next week under a transition from mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. So, please stay tuned!

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday, Metro Detroit!!
