My Body My Choice

My+Body+My+Choice

Roe vs wade is one of the only laws that protect women. The law is an umbrella law, which means it protects many things including the choice of abortion without excessive government control. Women face Rape and the date rape drug. Women face the classic “husband stitch.” Women face Religion Vs. the government. Women face death by creating new life. Women face, women face Women face. It’s a woman’s body so why do some male politicians feel they have a say in what happens. How are women in danger in losing the little rights they have? Well, unfortunately there are many Reasons for why a man would feel they have a say when they clearly don’t or why someone would want to demolish women’s rights.

One reason which plays a big role in why a man would feel the need to mess with women’s rights, is they are insecure and the only way they feel better is by control. They simply don’t have the courage, strength or confidence which they feel they get from control. Well, women find this behavior pathetic and feel that men do not get to control them or their bodies. Under roe vs wade women have the right to get an abortion without excessive control from the government. Well according to CNN Alabama just passed the most restrictive abortion law in the entire country. Out of twenty-seven white, male, republicans that dominate the Alabama senate twenty-five passed the law. It bans all abortions except cases where the mother will face serious health risks. The law also penalizes doctors who perform safe abortions of any kind besides the health risk cases. Doctors will face jail for life and be convicted of a felony, which means fewer doctors will be performing safe procedures now that it is illegal. So now, not only do the women in that state have less rights, but they will also be forced to make unsafe decisions such as getting an abortion which needs to be hidden. The number of women who will die from unsafe abortions compared to the number of women who would have lived from safe abortions is devasting. Instead of protecting women’s rights, they are slowly crumbling into the ground into a pile of what should have been a woman’s everlasting freedom.
