Welcome to Tuesday Night Metro Detroit! 

Tonight’s sunset was at 7:56 p.m. ET. 

After a beautiful Tuesday (March 29th, 2022) with both sunny skies and daytime high temperatures reaching into the low 40s, we have big changes on the way beginning tonight. But first, let us focus on the here and now, shall we? 

Okay! So overnight tonight, we will have increasing clouds this evening with freezing rain beginning after 2am along with both overnight low temperatures flirting with 30 degrees and winds east-southeast at 5 to 12 mph. 

Tomorrow morning’s sunrise is at 7:19 a.m. ET. 

THE REST OF THIS WEEK: 

Your “Hump Day” morning, or Wednesday morning will feature freezing rain along with both temperatures starting around freezing (or 32 degrees) and winds east-southeast at 5 to 15 mph around Metro Detroit, as we get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids. So, be careful and maybe either delay your morning commute until after 8am and/or work from home just for the morning due to the ice. But then after 9am, the freezing rain will switch over to just plain old rain showers due to temperatures rising above freezing. And we should dry things out for the afternoon hours as the skies should become mostly cloudy along with both daytime high temperatures soaring into the low 60s and warming winds south at 5 to 15 mph. 

Rainy and mild conditions Wednesday night along with overnight low temperatures only in the upper 40s. 

Your Thursday should feature rain showers in the morning hours with temperatures starting in the upper 50s to maybe 60 degrees. But during the afternoon hours, temperatures will crash way down into the low to middle 50s due to a cold front sweeping through the Metro Detroit area along with gusty winds southwest at 15 to 30 mph, gusting 30 to 45 mph at times too! So, hold onto your hats!! 

Mostly cloudy skies and cold too Thursday night along with an overnight low temperature of only 32 degrees. 

Happy April Fools’ Day 2022, Friday, everyone! And, happy very first day of April 2022 too!! Metro Detroit should see partly cloudy skies along with daytime high temperatures only in the middle 40s, so this is not no joke! 

Mostly clear skies and cold too Friday night along with overnight low temperatures only in the upper 20s. So, remember to bundle up both yourself and your sweetie as you both head out for whatever date night plans that you may have planned.
