Google Turns 23
It’s Google’s 23rd anniversary!
You may have noticed on Google search today that there is a new Google Doodle as seen in the first image below which the doodle features the Google logo with the “L” being substituted as a cake with the number “23” signifying the 23rd birthday of Google.
Google was originally founded on September 4th, 1998, even though the company had observed the anniversary for the first seven years as every year on September 27th. Google was co-founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page in 1998.
Google is the most popular search engine in the world averaging around 6.9 Billion searches per day (an equivalent of 70,000 searches per second) with Microsoft Bing coming in second place with around 900 million searches per day. Google even has a “Google it!” Phrase that a lot of people all around the world say daily when they have a question about something.
